Eligibility

Open to Minnesota-based organizations with annual budgets under $2M that use community organizing to advance equity and justice; groups may apply alone or in coalition. Priority goes to grassroots organizations led by and serving the BIPOC communities most affected by the issue. A brief inquiry form gates the full application. A university is not the applicant; a social work researcher would work through an eligible Minnesota organizing partner. Grantees cannot reapply for 12 months after notification but remain eligible for other Headwaters funding.
